30th June 2005 - My Last Day in Veritas
This day marks a big fullstop in my life..I had been working with Veritas for 10months and I cant believe that I am out of that calling routine which i had been complaining about everyday since my 3rd month there..well..its gone..suddenly i miss it..Super suay morning that started with a heavy downpour..my jeans was soaked all the way till the knee area..when i reach the mrt station..it STOPPED.. haiz.. saw the shuai ge on the shuttle bus for the last time too..hehe..well..being a procrastinator, i left some work to be done on my last day but when i try to concentrate, msn msgs pops up, colleagues came to my desk to chat, handphone starts vibrating, phone keeps ringing, haha..din complete my work lo but it doesnt really matter..felt like hot property and it does feel good!
Was running to and fro my replacement's desk, was doing the handover with her, very funny and cheerful girl, we hit it off very well considering that its the first day, but so sad, its the last day too, if only we know each other earlier huh. Got a surprise chocolate from her on my desk after i came back from lunch, so sweet..
Finally pack up my stuffs and returned my company's tag and drawer keys..an empty table is what's left now..said goodbye to everyone and i mean everyone that is left in the office, took about an hr plus to exchange numbers, blessings and gifts, saying all the thank yous, take care, all the best..and I actually felt sad..emotional..din expect it..but its a pity i forgot to bring my digicam..I definitely miss my lunch kaki group including those that left the company before me (shirlee, christina, emily, fawn, darren, shanti, yasmin). Its difficult to come back as a big group once again. Misses nice people like geokhui, xinyu, karen, sharon, takako, sophia, james, brenda, jacklyn and so on..i also miss the routine pantry (the pantry auntie!) n toilet breaks, the 2hr lunch break, internet smses, my msn especially, my monthly income..
Well, was glad that the cd has been taken care of, its a relief to get a reply, im contented..happy girl with a big smile!
Time for me to move on, to lead a completely different life. NUS, here i come!
