Happy Events for the Entire Week
~Thursday 24th September~
Happy Birthday to my dearest sister!!! This was my birthday present to her this year. The nicest chocolate cake that I had tasted so far! And she loved it too!! =)
We had a dinner celebration on Thurs at Tony Romas. Queued for 20mins before the 5 of us got a table. Food is great, the company is good and the birthday gal was feeling extra special that night.
Look at Mr Bing! He had his mouth full of cheesesticks and was still trying to smile as wide as possible. Funny fellow~~ Friday 25th September~
Met Geok to get my japan goodies (5 boxes of eye masks + Hokkaido white choco biscuits).We had a short shopping trip at PS but it was fruitful. I bought 1 working blouse + 1 pair of socks and she bought 2 working tops. We went to TCC to chit-chat. The hazelnutella drink we had was great! Tastes just like blended Kinder Bueno. Yummmyyyy~~Saturday 26th September~
Was supposed to meet up with yul, kui and lam. Last min lam had to attend a wake then yul was pretty sick. So we postponed the meet-up.
Then I gotta know that my nephew will be performing a dance item that very night for the mid-autumn festival.
It started off with 2 aunties singing karaoke. It was damn awful. Then the nursery and k1 kids started to perform and everyone whipped out their cameras and handphones and started snapping away.Ah Bing did a great job in the dance. He did not have any stage fright but was damn du lan when there was a technical fault with the music player right in the middle of the performance. haha. I try to post up the video when I have the time.

What a lousy long weekend!
Guess what was I doing during the weekend?Haiz..
I was working~~~~~~ on both Sunday and Monday!!
Wah lao, it was a very last minute notice. On Thursday I was told that I need to be on standby this wkend. Got called up on on Sunday and Monday for work. Sickening lei~~ Whole office don't have aircon. It was damn stuffy and hot.
The only good day was Saturday. I had my nails done! Hee.
My simple nail art. Painted my toenails purple too. Spent half the afternoon at the nail parlour.At night I had suckling pig at Jumbo because of bf's mom bday. The skin is very crispy but it's damn fattening.
That sums up my wkend and tmr is a working day AGAIN.

Today is a good day!
1) I was alone in the office for the past 3 working days cause the rest of the team went to another site to do support. I was soooo bored and lonely. Today TT and LS came back, so I am not lonely anymore! Yeah!2) Finally managed to complete some work today. A sense of satisfaction.
3) Gave a treat to my career counselor who fought for my promotion. The dinner with cindy and jeff was great. It was nice catching up and chatting with each other. I had a great dinner at Watami as well. Cindy and I cracked alot of jokes on our way home, we couldn't stop laughing.
I reached home with a smile on my face. I feel happy. =)

I got it !!
In my previous blogpost, I ended off with"I just secretly hope that all my efforts are worthwhile.

And I got it ~! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
FY09 has been such a great year for me. Got to know the big shots in my company (or at the least the most important one). Won a $30 taka voucher in the community event. Won a 3D2N stay at Fraser Place Apartments during Dinner and Dance. And finally, I beat alot of people in claiming a promotion place!
Woooohooooooooooooooooooo. I worked hard for it during my work. I had the worst time ever in UAT during May 09. I was so stressed that I skipped my period for 2 weeks and popped lotsa pimples.
I worked hard in organizing community events. Being enthusiastic in what I'm assigned to. And finally it reaped rewards.
Luck plays an important role this time as well. Alot of my peers worked even harder than me, joined the organization even earlier than me but I managed to snatch a slot for myself. It's a dog-eat-dog's world.
I know the path ahead isn't going to be easy. But I will try. Jiayou~!
