Whole list of company events so far~

I've decided to lump all my company events together as a single post rather than posting separately. Simply because there are too many events happening over the past few months!

**********************************************************************************
HRT Run
Our project organised this to gather everyone OUT of the office to play games! The main location of this event is held at Timbre @ The Substation.

Heard from Shirlee that it is a nice place to chill out and the band is good. Too bad my company booked the entire place and there wasn't any band playing that night.

While waiting for the briefing and games to start, we played "Zong Ji Mi Ma" since we have so many people. I drank a very weird concoction made by them that consists of all kinds of juices and alcohol. Yucks.

Everyone of us were separated into random groups and off we went to play the Amazing Race. We had to travel to famous spots by FOOT and take photos as an indication that we had been there.

A group pic with an "oldie" postbox and everyone had to sign their names on the postcard and drop it into that red postbox.

Next we had to walk to CHIJMES to find a guy and answer his history questions about Singapore in order to move on to the next station. Those questions were tough, but our group managed to get a score of 9/10! I was amazed at how well some of us know about Singapore history. With 1 question wrong, we had to eat wasabi as punishment! To me, this isn't a punishment at all lor. Wasabi is nice~

Photo taken at CHIJMES

Moving on, we had to take a photo with this famous statue of 5, that is found outside the art museum and try to imitate them. Did they do a good job?

Then it started to drizzle. Sucks. I didn't like the idea of wearing a poncho and running around with it. So I ran without any poncho or umbrella and was drenched!

Our next station is the Selegie Beancurd Stall. The journey to the shop is totally not sheltered. The best part is that I can get to eat yummy beancurd. However I had to eat it in the fastest possible time. It didnt taste that nice anymore because I have to gulp it all down as fast as possible. Aw.. what a waste!

Then it started to pour!

1 last station to go and that is to walk to The Cathay and take a photo with 1 of the posters.

It was a wet wet day! Sticky and drenched. Super uncomfortable.

Finally we went back to Timbre @ The Substation after the end of the Amazing race and had our buffet dinner.

I joined back my lunch clique. See! All of us are wet!
It was a tiring day for me but I enjoyed the buffet dinner. Very yummy food.

Night Safari

It was a free event for all employees who registered. First come first served basis. And so, kiasu Jos and Ting registered for all of us, regardless of whether are we interested in going to the Night Safari or not. -_-!!!

On the tram, the best picture I can get so far with my handphone camera because it was so dark and the lighting is not good.
I like the tram the most because I can just sit and enjoy the breeze with the tour guide talking away.

I didn't take much photos during the tour because everything was so dark and most of the "attractions" are those touch-and-go type, so there wasn't much time to hang around or take pics.

Finally, a group photo of us, the noisy ones as commented by the photographer.
Overall, night safari is quite fun. Moreover I just recovered from a 39degrees fever + flu + cough so I was feeling quite weak through-out the tour. But I'm glad I got well in time for Night Safari cause everything is free free free! Yeah!

Community Event

This is the final event for everyone before the end of FY08. It is held at Old School which is at Mount Sophia, just behind The Cathay.

We were early for the event and started taking pictures.

Me, Ting, Lihui, JosThe entire place is very arty with graffiti and paintings.

Me and Ting

With a robot
Do you think the robot looks like Wall-EEEEEEEEEEE? I watched Wall-E last night. The entire thing is pretty cute but u cant be feeling tired and watching the show. Might fall asleep because there are more actions than dialogues.

Anyway, back to my topic. Everyone is asked to play "Amazing Race" again! I dunno why for every event we have to play the Amazing Race. There were photographs of famous places in Singapore but without any directions to where it is. Being Singaporeans, it's quite easy for us but the weather is not playing its part that day. It started raining when we started our "Race".

And so, we only took 1 picture and that is this! The LOVE outside Fish & Co.See, we had our umbrellas! Then it started to rain quite heavily and we went to Dome for coffee and a great chit-chat session!

I love company events! Leaving the office once in a while is great!

I will end my blog entry here with these 3 company events.

My Dinner & Dance event will be the next post. =)

My blog is dying

I don't have the time to update this little webbie of mine. I have so many photos and events happening but I just can't find the time to update. Haiz.

I want more time!

And now I have something exciting that will keep me busy for at least half a year! I know I'm abit slow, but finally at the age of 24, I've signed up for driving lessons!

My first lesson will start on the 3rd week of September. =) And that means less time for my blog. Haiz. I can't help it. I hope I can blog something by the end of this week.

Need to go to bed now.. Zzzzzz

Square Hat Day

It seems like just yesterday that I attended last year's graduation ceremony at NUS. I was admiring all my friends who had graduated and wondering how it will be like during my graduation ceremony 1 year later.

Now, it is all over. My graduation ceremony was on 15th July. I had lotsa fun taking photos with my course mates.

I had a super hard time trying to make my gown stay as it should be. Because I rented the gown and it is the traditional hook-on type which means it comes loose easily. My friends bought their new gowns and it came with zippers! Super convenient lor.

And my gown and mortar board are both Medium size because of my height and it's so loose!!! Spent quite abit of time pinning the mortar board with my hair and using safety pins to fasten my gown with the bonnet. Troublesome!

The first photo taken in the robing room
On my right are my NUS friends, on my left are my colleagues. I'm sandwiched in the middle!

Because the seating allocated for everyone is based on results and in alphabetical order so I was thinking that I might be bored with no one to talk to during the ceremony. End up, I am seated with people that I know! How lucky and I end up talking and talking and talking during the entire ceremony.

This is the SAP course mate who sat beside me and we had a good catching up session during the ceremony.
I didn't know he stay quite a few blocks from me and I always frequent that coffeeshop at his block. So qiao.

My sister!
Usually everyone say we don't look like sisters and look like friends, but this photo somehow makes me feel that we look alike. Do we?

The kids and my jiefu have not arrived yet cause children below 6yrs old are not allowed inside the ceremony. I asked for the kids to come so that I can take pictures with them.

My favourite little nephew.
He was so spontaneous about wearing the mortar board. So cute yeah?

The other one is more spontaneous about taking photos with the big NUS lion soft toy.
Too bad the smaller version of it costs $39.90, it's too expensive, otherwise I might just buy 1 for him.

Little boys

A family photo =)

Special thanks to William who promised to attend my graduation and kept to his promise!
He even wanted to snatch my cert away lor! Anyway, must buy insurance from him next time. Anyone wants to buy too? Contact me ok!

Pic with my colleague - Joyce
Never even saw her once before in NUS but now we see each other everyday. How ironic.

Pic with Joyce, Ting and Ting's friend
It is actually quite difficult to get a group picture like this. Once I found Joyce, Ting is missing. And if I found Ting, Joyce is somewhere else. Finally a decent pic after some phone calls.

Pic with Ashwin
My company has lotsa NUS students, I've never seen most of them before. And guess what, this colleague of mine is born in 1987. I am 3 years older than him!! Awwwwww...that sucks.

With Geok - My bestie in NUS.
The one who made my last semester in NUS super fun with funny stuffs about lengshui and her mu tou. And our 2301 class and oral presentations. Will never forget the fun that we had.

With Geok and Wein
We got to know each other after Regina's introduction. From then on, we keep doing projects together. =)

With Michelle
The friend whom I got to know at UCC and she said we knew each other at UCC and end off with graduation at UCC. Little did I know I saw her again at my company's DnD. It's fate!

With Siowyuan
A friend that I got to know during my last sem in NUS and it's the most memorable sem for me. :) And the world is so small, my colleague also know her. Why is it that everyone knows everyone else?

With Edwin - my SAP coursemate

With my Orientation group gals + Dr Heng
I like this group pic. This is the lecturer that gave me my first A in NUS!

With Yaoquan - know him from OG too.

Finally, standard must-have pics for a graduate!

And, not forgetting my dear for taking leave and coming to my graduation. Sat through the super boring ceremony just to see 30secs of me on stage and be my photographer for the entire day! You're the best! =)

Yeah! I've officially graduated from NUS!
