His 27th Birthday

A simple birthday celebration this year (presents + lunch + movie).

~Presents~
Couldn't stand his pair of old and algae-filled glasses anymore. I insisted on getting him new specs this year.

This is the replacement. Haha. Can't tell the diff between the old and the new. Except that this looks cleaner than the old one.

I didn't only get him 1 pair of glasses. I bought him 2 pairs.

Both of us fell in love with this pair of glasses when we first wore it. It's really comfortable and looks cute.

Tadah! The Christopher Lee / Tay Ping Hui kinda specs. Big and comfortable. I was tempted to get one also but I resisted cause I'm planning to go for lasik next year!

I also got us a pair of return flight tickets to taipei next year as part of his pressies. I can't wait to go taipei again! wooohoooo..

~Lunch Celebration~

Went to Nogawa at Meridien Hotel for lunch. Even Lee Kuan Yew has been there, why shouldn't we?

We had a salmon roe set lunch, sashimi, scallops, otoro(fatty tuna) sushi and sea urchin sushi.

Hmmmm.. sad to say.. we were greatly disappointed with the quality. Our fren told us that perhaps the head chef wasn't there to serve us, that's why the quality isn't as good. Well, it's not cheap and its not good. Haiz. This feeling is bad.

~Movie~
This was what cheered us up after the lunch. Although it is quite a predictable story but the sight of the yummy food makes the show very enjoyable. Haha.

Last but not least, Happy Birthday to you my dear birthday boy!!

Very first training

Wow. I was suddenly given the responsibility to conduct training for 4 different modules in a single day.

Frankly, I was damn worried. First of all, this is my very first presentation to 20+ users in a day.

Secondly, it was not a few mins or 1 hour presentation. It is a training which will make me talk and talk and talk for 3.5hours in the morning and 3hours in the afternoon.

As mentioned, I was given this responsibility at the very last minute. So my knowledge of the modules is still not good yet.

BUT I SURVIVED TODAY!

I am so happy that I fared well with a 95% satisfaction rate. There was even 1 user who commented that I was helpful and very patient.

I am glad that I am able to answer most of their queries without relying on external support from the team.

HURRAY!!!

PS: Thanks to all who encouraged me when I was feeling worried about the presentation. It helped alot. =)

Bubble Hair Colour~

My previous hair colour has faded and the black hair has grown out quite alot. In my opinion, it looks very unsightly.

After watching the TV advertisement about the Bubble D.I.Y. hair dye from Japan, I was very attracted to it and wanted to try.

Alot of people commented that it is expensive as compared to the usual hair dye. Dunno why, I wasn't really concerned about this. I just bought it straight away at the Watsons below my office.

My colleagues commented that Glossy Brown looks good so I bought this colour.

The contents - the 2 bottles on the left hand side are the mixtures, the nozzle in front, the gloves in the "tissue paper packet" wrappings and the conditioner right behind it.

Mix the lotion/cream together and squeezeeeee for the white foam to ooze out.

I was kiasu. I left my hair full of foam for 2hours while watching my hk drama.

No pics of my hair here but I'm happy with the results. The colour is evenly spread out. When I was washing away the foam/dye, there was no irritating stains on my toilet floors. Best of all, my towel/shirt was not stained too.

I will definitely buy this brand of hair dye next time. So its true, you get better results when you pay more.

Epilator

My latest purchase from Tangs - A Braun Epilator.

I've been having little bumps on my calves for quite sometime and it was due to shaving.

I wanted a cleaner hair removal solution but is too afraid to go for waxing. So I bought an epilator instead. The most expensive one also!

The best part is.. I got it for free! I redeemed a $200 Tangs Voucher via my company's rewards points and got myself a little gift. Yayyyyyyy!
